LyncScan provides a review management platform to businesses. In this capacity, we operate in two distinct roles depending on the type of data:

LyncScan as Data Controller

We act as the data controller for the personal information of our business users (account holders), such as registration details, login credentials, payment information, and usage data. We determine the purposes and means of processing this data as described in this Privacy Policy.

LyncScan as Data Processor

We act as a data processor for customer data collected through our review forms, QR codes, and related features on behalf of the businesses (data controllers) that use our Service. This means:

Customer review data (ratings, feedback, contact details) is collected and processed solely on behalf of the business that deployed the review form
We process this data only as instructed by the business and only to the extent necessary to provide the Service (displaying analytics, managing reviews, sending review-related notifications)
The business, as the data controller, is independently responsible for ensuring that it has a lawful basis for collecting its customers' data, including obtaining any required consents
The business is responsible for its own compliance with applicable data protection laws regarding how it uses, stores, or shares its customer data obtained through the Service
LyncScan does not independently determine how business customer data is used beyond providing the Service

By using LyncScan, each business user acknowledges and agrees that:

They are the data controller for customer data collected through their use of the Service
They are solely responsible for the lawful collection, use, and handling of their customer data

No Sale of Data
